Part-time, non-exempt: 12-16 hours per week

Location: Grand Junction, CO; hybrid work options are available

Compensation: $22 – $25/hour DOE; includes paid time off and retirement benefits

Organizational Background

Colorado Canyons Association (CCA) is a 15-year-old nonprofit organization fostering community stewardship,

education and awareness of our National Conservation Lands with a focus on Dominguez-Escalante, Gunnison

Gorge and McInnis Canyons National Conservation Areas (NCAs) in western Colorado. CCA brings thousands

of students and adults out on the land for science-based education and recreation while completing a wide range

of restoration and public lands interpretive activities.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping duties including supporting payroll bi-

weekly, financial record keeping, account reconciliation, invoicing, grant reimbursements and other tasks as they

relate to non-profit financial management. The individual will also be responsible for administrative tasks to

support organizational operations. These tasks include, but are not limited to, HR and IT support, insurance

management, and general office needs. This position will operate during the traditional work week but allows for

flexibility with hours and scheduling.

Cualificaciones:

The desired individual will have advanced experience with QuickBooks Online and bookkeeping in the nonprofit

setting. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, organized, and dependable. Must pass a background check.

Ideal candidates possess:

  • Associates degree or higher + 2-3 years of related experience
  • Previous experience working with nonprofit or small business finances
  • Understanding of accounting best practices and GAAP compliance
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Office 365 products
  • Ability to produce highly accurate work
  • Understanding of and commitment to CCA’s mission and programs
  • Passion for western Colorado public lands
