Charting Our Course
2024 was a year of connection and learning. We dedicated time to understanding the history, successes, challenges, and opportunities surrounding our outdoor recreation industry and its infrastructure; usage, stewardship, conservation, and its economic impact. It was a year of engaging with the public through initiatives like our Campfire Sessions: Trail Mix and Access & Equity in the Outdoors, both events were well-attended and interactive, sparking meaningful conversations. We also unveiled our new brand, launched a user-friendly website as a valuable resource for both residents and visitors alike, and expanded our community of supporters across our various social media platforms.
In addition to these achievements, we celebrated a few other milestones: our March kickoff party, attended by more than 70 people—including elected officials, land managers, and business owners—earned significant media coverage for the organization. We also secured our 501(c)(3) status, a pivotal step in advancing our mission. Additionally, we engaged in numerous summits, seminars, and conferences, offering our expertise at events such as the Partners in the Outdoors Conference, Colorado Outdoor Industry Leadership Summit, Wright Collegiate Challenge, and CMU’s Outdoor Recreation Industry Studies Program.
